The first candidate meeting was held on Tues 26th August at the Glenfield Community Hall. Attended by 20 candidates from both the Devonport-Takapuna and Kaipataki local boards it was a busy 2 hours and I had just 2 minutes to introduce myself and 3 minutes to give my views on youth opportunities and supporting local community. I felt I gave my best and enjoyed meeting the other candidates including some I’ve known for some time from both boards.With 20 competing for 6 spots in DTLB this will be a tough campaign!
